Food Security

Planet Earth is going through massive transformation. Over the next 3 decades, we are going to see dramatic population increase. This alone will create elevated pressure on limited resources such as land and water. In fact, the UN now predicts that by 2030 the world will be in a 40% water overdraft.

These changes will be accompanied by a major shift in where most people live. If today about 50% of the world lives in urban areas, by 2050 the number jumps to 75%.

Finally, we will have to deal with the raising global temperature and an increasing number of catastrophic weather related effects such as tsunamis and drought.

Global Challenges by 2050

Current agriculture technology will not be able to sustain the population growth given the shortage in land, the need to transport large amounts of crops into dense urban areas, and the changing weather conditions.

This realization led us to work on indoor growing technology that is efficient in both resources and time, has minimal foot print, works in any weather and at the same time deliver high quality crops with no pesticides.

GrowIn’s approach to indoor agriculture

GrowIn’s unique technology is a unique platform that paves the way for feeding the world’s population in the 21st century. Stay tuned as we continue to update on our progress!
